Elegant authentic Belgian art deco silver and wood serving tray. This beautifully shaped plateau features art deco silver accents in sleek scrolled lines and solid faceted rosewood base. Fine craftsmanship by Delheid Frères, one of the most important silver workshops in Brussels, was well-known for creating interesting objects with high distinctive quality, a creation mostly in combination of sterling silver and rare woods mostly coming from the Belgian Congo. The silver accents are hallmarked on each side with "D" and serpent underneath and .800 silver content. Made in Brussels, Belgium circa 1920's. In very good condition with traces of wear, scratches on wood, tarnish on silver and other minor details commensurate to age. Please refer to images as integral part of the description.
