Gorgeous tall leather double hat box. Beautifully crafted with high quality leather featuring leather top handle having brass cartouche and studs, travel stickers to lid and label of J. J. Furniture Depository in Southhampton, UK on the side. A fully working front brass lock and closing buckle with original key. The interior is lined with worn red silk fabric and paper, two detachable hat cradles and purple, gilt straps to keep the hats on its place. A visible hallmark VR Patent, made in England late 1800. In very good condition with traces of wear, restorations and other details consistent to age. The price is for the leather hat box only, the hat is part of presentation and priced separately. A classic piece from bygone epoch that will compliment a charming interior.
