Charming Napoleon III writing box. High quality crafted burr walnut lap desk features marquetry inlays and brass accents. Top lid opens to reveal a writing slope with blue velvet surface, compartments for inkwells and secret letter. It has key but the lock is not functioning. Made in France circa 1870's. In very good condition with traces of wear and other details consistent to age. Kindly refer to the images as integral part of the description.
