An original Flemish artwork of Paris, France cityscape "Along the Seine River". This vintage oil on panel painting features the scenery on the banks of Seine River, the bridge and the architectures. by Jean-François Luypaert (Belgium 1893 - 1954), signed lower left corner. He was a famous Belgian painter and part of Bruxelles School. He took classes with Louis Titz at the Art Academy in Brussels, Belgium. He participated three times in the "Salon des Artistes" in Paris. He received a prize of "Honorable Mention" during first exposition in 1949, his second exposition in 1950 and he got the "La médaille d'Or" (Gold Medal) and in his last participation, he obtained the "Prix de l' Yser". He was awarded by Belgium's Ministry of Culture the decoration of "Knight in the Order of Leopold", as recognition for the received prizes. His main themes includes still lifes, cityscapes, landscapes and seascapes.
This artwork will be delivered in a custom made gilt wood frame with linen liner, handmade in Belgium. In very good condition with minor traces of age and wear.
