Impressive gothic revival religious work of art crucifix by Atelier Bressers-Blanchaert (Maison St-Luc, 1864). This Corpus Christi sculpture is made of hand-carved pinewood mounted on an oak cross and raised on a turned round base. A richly detailed creation of Adrian Hubert Bressers (1835-1898) founder Maison St-Luc church painting studio, Leopold Blanchaert (1832-1913) sculptor and Leonard Blanchaert (1834-1905) art carpenter. It has visible original sticker on the back side of the crucifix. Made in Ghent, Belgium late 1800. In very good condition with minor traces of wear and details commensurate to age, very charming aging patina. Kindly refer to the pictures as integral part of the descriptions.
