Superb antique silver vanity basket with original glass liner. Finely crafted silver basket in oval shape with swing handle decorated with lined nets and crossed ribbons adorned with floral and foliage garlands, raised on a beautifully shaped plinth. This striking silver sugar and sweets basket has chased hallmark to the inner bottom a crescent and crown (Halbmond und Reichskrone) .800 and a lion like figure, encircled K and 9 next to it with model no. 8770. Made in Germany circa late 1800 . In very good condition with minimal traces of wear and details commensurate to age.
